Fatih Guler was born in 1959 in Kahramanmaras, Turkey. He was graduated from Elbistan Mukrimin Halil High School in 1976.
He was graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU) and received BS in Petroleum Engineering, Ankara, Turkey in 1981. He obtained MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering at University of Southern California (USC), USA in 1985.
In 1996 Mr. Guler has later obtained his MSc in International Economics at Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey.
He worked at Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TP) between 1981 and 2008.
He worked for Guney Yildizi Petrol (GYP) between Oct 2008 and Jan 2024 which he served as General Manager between March 2013 and Jan 2024.
Mr.Guler has also authored many publications and is a member of Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB)- Petroleum Engineering Association.
